i-SCOPE @ European Data Forum 2015

GraphiTech is delighted to inform that the paper entitled “3D city data management, integration and exploitation – The i-SCOPE project experience” has been accepted for a poster presentation at the European Data Forum 2015 that will be held on 16-17 November 2015 in Luxembourg.

The European Data Forum brings together industry, researchers, policy makers and members of community initiatives to discuss the challenges of Big Data and the emerging Data Economy and to develop suitable action plans for addressing these challenges. The special focus is on small and medium enterprises, since they are driving innovation and competition in many data-driven economic sectors.

Final technical meeting

The final technical meeting of the i-SCOPE project was hosted by MOSS on the 13th and 14th of July 2015 in Taufkirchen near Munich, Germany.

During the meeting was presented the overall project progress, as well as the progress and situation of each task. The project is going to end soon and this meeting served to verify the readiness for the final review meeting that will be held in September 2015. Some valuable feedbacks were also collected, especially from the pilot partners, that will enable the improvement of the final system.

i-SCOPE Info day in Indjija

The i-SCOPE consortium is delighted to announce that the i-SCOPE Info day will be organized on 18 June 2015 in Indjija, Serbia. The Mayor of Indjija will open the event, while Mr Dragutin Protić, the coordinator of the pilot project in Serbia, will present the i-SCOPE project and its significance for the urban development, as well as the results of the Indjija pilot project. The demonstration of the final 3D platform will also be performed.

The event will be covered by media and will host officials from various departments of the Municipality administration (Urban and spatial planning, Mayor’s office, Building directorate etc.), officials from the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, officials from the Serbian Ministry of mining and energy, representatives from neighboring Municipalities, NGOs and experts from academia.

i-SCOPE final conference

The i-SCOPE final conference was successfully organized on 4 June 2015 in Rome, Italy. Renowned researchers from Germany, Italy, Croatia and Greece provided their expertise on the aspects of developing integrated geographical information systems and crowdsourcing solutions, as well as innovative visualization tools. The i-SCOPE Smart City 3D open platform and three different i-SCOPE scenarios were presented during the conference. The comparison among European projects i-SCOPE and SUNSHINE, as well as energy saving results achieved within the SUNSHINE projects, and development of the CityGML use in the energy field were also presented in the conference.

The conference was very successful, and it was a great occasion for the exchange of ideas and expertise.

New version of the i-SCOPE platform

The i-SCOPE consortium is pleased to announce that a new version of the i-SCOPE platform has been released. It is still a beta version but should provide major reliability and efficiency.
