GraphiTech & i-SCOPE in the 7th International scientific conference “EU Future Perspectives: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Policy”

The i-SCOPE project and the paper entitled “The role of technology and citizens’ involvement in smart, inclusive and sustainable urban development”, written by Ružica Bukša Tezzele and Raffaele De Amicis has been presented in the 7th International scientific conference “European Union Future Perspectives: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Policy”, held from 21-23 May 2015 in Pula (Croatia).

The purpose of the conference was to discuss various ideas and paths on micro and macro level related to innovation and entrepreneurship that could lead EU economies towards a higher level of employment and welfare. Some of the eminent speakers took part to the conference and shared their knowledge and experience, such as Steve Keen, Michael Dowling, Peter Mihalyi and Guglielmo Maria Caporale.

Technical meeting in Munich

The i-SCOPE technical meeting was organized on 13 May 2015 at the M.O.S.S. premises in Taufkirchen near Munich, Germany.

The overall project progress, as well as the progress of each task were presented during the meeting. Valuable feedbacks were collected, especially from the pilot partners, that will enable the improvement of the final system.

i-SCOPE final conference in Rome

The i-SCOPE consortium is pleased to invite all interested parties to attend the i-SCOPE final conference to be held on the 4th of June 2015 in Rome, Italy.

Renowned researchers from Austria, Italy, Germany and Greece will provide their expertise on the aspects of developing integrated geographical information systems and crowdsourcing solutions, as well as innovative visualization tools.

The conference will start at 9:00 o’clock and will finish at 16:30. The program is divided in four sessions:

Session 1: 9:30-11:00

During the first session, the i-SCOPE project and its objectives will be presented, as well as sources of geodata to be used for smart city (CityGML application).

Session 2: 11:00-12:30

Three different i-SCOPE scenarios will be presented (the solar potential, mobility and noise scenarios), together with the pilot cases.

Session 3: 14:30-15:30

The third session is devoted to the public administration new tools. Open data and digital agenda for Italy, as well as regional energy plans for Lazio and Emilia Romagna regions will be presented during this session.

Session 4: 15:30-16:30

The comparison among European projects i-SCOPE and SUNSHINE, as well as energy saving results achieved within the SUNSHINE project, and development of the CityGML use in the energy field will be presented during the last conference session.

Technical meeting in Munich

The next i-SCOPE technical meeting will be held on 13 May 2015 in Munich (Germany).

During the meeting will be presented the overall project progress and the progress of each work package and task. The focus will be on the pilots’ deployment and assessment, as well as on raising citizens’ awareness about the project outcomes.

Convention: The digital for the growth and competitiveness of a territory

The convention entitled “The digital for the growth and competitiveness of a territory” will be held on Friday, 13 March 2015, at Informatica Trentina S.p.A. premises, in Trento (Italy). The convention, organized by Informatica Trentina S.p.A., aims to promote the importance of digital and media civic, especially in support of democratic participation. The event will give special attention to the women in science and technology, to encourage them to enhance their skills and take an active role in digital society.

Fondazione GraphiTech will also take part in this event, giving a multimedia presentation on the theme of “The digital future of a territory: examples of innovative projects and services for the public administration, citizens and businesses” where the i-SCOPE and SUNSHINE projects will be presented.
